Help On Install With GoDaddy Hosting and Windows Server

Hey there,

 

I have been messing with my install for days, and have followed many tips (thanks for those by the way). However, I have not been able to get my install to work. I have web hosting through GoDaddy with a windows server (I know, I should have done some research before going with them). So right away, I know I will have to work at it. I have previously installed osCommerce on another server and had no issues whatsoever.

 

Here are the problems I'm having.

 

First, I could not get the install to load the oscommerce.sql file, so I changed the line in install_3.php to

 

$db_error = false;

$sql_file = getcwd() . '\oscommerce.sql';

 

that got me past that step

 

Then I had to manually load the sql file again because one of the tables install needs to load was not there.

 

So I got to the last page - Install Complete - but when I click on the admin and catalog links, or manually go to the address, nothing loads - no errors, just blank screens. I have tried to edit my configure.php files, but to no avail - no change.

 

I know you are busy, but any help would be appreciated.

I will never get another webhosting account through godaddy ever again. I have installed OS commerse on ipower more then 10 times and never had the problems I am getting from the godaddy. unbelieveable.

 

I wish I could help, I am having the same problems.
