Categories on index page

Hi,

 

i want to display an image for each of my top level categories (like a categories box) currently i am hard typing the links and images but would prefer to pull them from the categories box if possible i tried to code it but keep get fatal errors (and that does not sound good to me!)

There are many contributions for this. You can go to the contributions page and in the search box type main categories...you should get what you are looking for.
