Recommended Posts

Ok I have now done everything.

I am trying to upload my product images in my osc admin panel.

I have the right permissions set for the image folder and files.

when I brose to upload the image and click preview there is nothing. But some how the images are uploading because I can type in the url path ans see them.

However, on the website the broken images are not showing the complete url path:

i.e. when I right click on the website where the broken image it says: http://www.mydomain.com/store/catalog/images

when it should say:

http://www.mydomain.com/store/catalog/imag...lahblahblah.jpg

Please someone point me in the righ direction to get this fixed!

hi,

I have a similar problem only when I try to upload an image in admin and click preview I get an error message ( file upload not saved).

I have been onto my host Tech Team who are still looking into it.

I can upload via ftp and type the url into my browser and the image displays fine but when I try to point the product to the image admin won't allow me to save it :'(

So maybe putting our heads together we can solve our problems.

Regards Mike

here is my configure.php file:

// define our webserver variables

// FS = Filesystem (physical)

// WS = Webserver (virtual)

define('HTTP_SERVER', ''); // eg, http://localhost or - https://localhost should not be NULL for productive servers

define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', '');

define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', '');

define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // secure webserver for catalog module

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT); // where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs)

define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/store/catalog/admin/');

define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_ADMIN);

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/catalog/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_CATALOG);

the most obvious error is the first three items in your config file are blank:

define('HTTP_SERVER', ''); // eg, http://localhost or - https://localhost should not be NULL for productive servers

define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', '');

define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', '');

change it ot this:

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.yourdomain.com'); // eg, http://localhost or - https://localhost should not be NULL for productive servers

define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.yourdomain.com');

define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.yourdomain.com');

the last one (https) should be your host's shared SSL url if you don't have you own security certificate. This will normally be in the format of:

http://your.ispname.com/~youraccount
