Price not displaying

When adding a new product and entering the NET price in the appropriate box, it takes the price OK but it doesn't show it in either the preview or catalog.

 

Is there something simple I could have changed which would prevent the price from displaying.

 

I have changed the currency to GBP

Have you added all the information it requires in admin? Like the value set to 1.00, 2 decimal places and even the ? sign.
