file in a sub-folder shows error

hi , i have made a file in a sub-folder example:

 

www.mysite.com

 

 

now the sub

 

www.mysite.com/details/mydetails.php

 

but this file doesn't work showing errors as

 

Warning: main(includes/application_top.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/xxxx/public_html/where_to_buy/locate_a_store.php on line 13

is there a way i can get things working under sub-folders , as i have two pages under one heading example
