mikefoo Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Hey guys I am looking to combine my login for forum and oscommerce into one custom login page. I have glanced at the customers table and seem pretty simple how I can check authentication for a customer. My question is how would I deal with sessions/cookies/etc - maybe mimic what the login.php file does after authenticating? Also when creating an account, would there be more then just me INSERT'ing data into customers field? I did a bit of searching on forum, but I guess the keywords I search for are so broad I can't find anything. I would apperciate it if someone can point me in the right direction! thanks!
♥Vger Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 In my experience bridges between osCommerce and Forums that allow the user to be logged in on both, from only one Login, rarely work - even if that's what they are supposed to do! Vger
insomniac2 Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 I have integrated phpbb forum into my osc admin as well as on the catalog side it uses osc customer login to access the forum. I have made so many changes that I did not document them. If I get time I will try to release it as a MOD.
