Security certificate issue - please help!

Hi,

Sorry, but I'm still a newbie!

My host site got me a security certificate with 'www.mydomain.com' but the certificate pop-up screen said it was not the same as my website.

I called my hosting company and they told me that I had to update all my config.php files and change to 'www.' where my domain name was.

I think I got all of them but I still have the same issue!

So my questions are:

1. How many configuration files are there and where can I find them all to see if I missed one!

2. Is there something missing that my host company didn't mention?

Thanks for your help in advance!

there are 2 congiguration files

catalog\includes\configure.php

catalog\admin\includes\configure.php

Check the details of the certificate with your browser. Basically the "Subject" line should match your secure domain in the configure files.

How many did you get and where? There are only two!

Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back!

Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you?

There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere.

I made the changes to match my certificate but then realized that because my host site did not create my certificate the same name as my site, and that I have a redirect ( due to having two databases ), that the best fix is for my host site to edit my certificate and remove the 'www.' from it.

I really appreciate the help from everyone as this was a truely frustrating issue for me! I decided to play golf to get my mind off of it...I should have stayed home...golf sucked too!

Again, thanks for the help everyone, once my host site fixes my certificate, I'll update this post with hopefully, a happy resolution!
