gaglione1 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 How can I eliminate the message requiring people to enable cookies? It comes up many times when not applicable. New customers may abandon the site because of this. Is there a way to not require cookies so I will never see this message again?

gaglione1 Posted May 19, 2006 Author Posted May 19, 2006 osc Admin->Configuration->Sessions->Force Cookie Use set it to false. Good Stuff Enigma. Worked like a charm. Thank you.
abra123cadabra Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 I had the same problem today. I was checking that the cookie_usage.php was working properly and switched off cookies for this. After switching it back on, I still got the message. Figured out it was my settings in Firefox. Basically it put my cookies on a "blacklist" which still applied after switching cookies back on. Removing my site from this list and everything was working again. abra The First Law of E-Commerce: If the user can't find the product, the user can't buy the product. Feedback and suggestions on my shop welcome. Note: My advice is based on my own experience or on something I read in these forums. No guarantee it'll work for you! Make sure that you always BACKUP the database and the files you are going to change so that you can rollback to a working version if things go wrong.
