Tax Class question

Hi

 

I need to make all of the items in my store taxable goods . ( when I added each product I didnt realize that and alllllll of the items are set to "none" in the tax class section :( )

 

Is there ANY way that I change all of the items in my store to taxable goods without having to edit each and every item ????? Please help ASAP ! Thanks in advance !!

Description:

 

The idea behind this modification is to allow you to choose the default tax class to use when entering new products. Most physical products sold by online stores are taxable and therefore it makes sense to set the tax class for each new product to the one used by most items sold by the store rather than the osCommerce default of "none". This helps avoid the error of leaving a product as not taxable when it should be taxable and it helps make data entry somewhat faster since most browsers do not allow you to tab into a drop down menu to set a selection.

First , how do I install this ? and mosre importantly ........will it change the tax class to the already MANY items in my store ??

To install .. extract and follow the instructions in the downloaded zip file.

Place all of the .php files contained in the zip in their respective directories.

 

Once install go to your admin and access wherever you placed the link for default tax class. ( I put it under Locations / taxes menu) with the rest of the Tax Zones, Tax Classes options etc.

 

When you set the default tax class ... yes all of your current products will default to your chosen option. You won't have to go into each product to set them.
