smahoney
I have PHP and MySQL up and running on a Windows Server 2003 box, and I'm trying to test out oscommerce. I get to the install page, hit next, get to the page that has : New Installation Please customize the new installation with the following options: Import Catalog Database: Install the database and add the sample data Checking this box will import the database structure, required data, and some sample data. (required for first time installations) Automatic Configuration: Save configuration values Checking this box will save all entered data during the installation procedure to the appropriate configuration files on the server. Check both boxes, hit continue, then I am back at the same page, and install will just keep refreshing this same page. Any ideas?
Guest
I am having the same problem. I am on a mac running osx server. with MySQL and PHP running. Curious to be sure we are in the same situation, are you using the new "register_globals_v1.4a" to fix the issues with the php.ini? Anyone here have any input? I have tried this out on both pc and mac ( just to make sure it wasnt some silly browser issue) Thanks in advance!
spax
Try setting register_long_arrays to On in your php.ini file.
smahoney
I found that and it got me past step 2, but now when importing the database it says it cannot find the file oscommerce.sql, even though it is there. Try setting register_long_arrays to On in your php.ini file.
Guest
Try setting register_long_arrays to On in your php.ini file. Thanks for the info spax. However, I am on a shared server, so I cannot access the php.ini . Any tips? Thanks a ton
Guest
I'm having a similar problem; I have gone to ?step=2, but only get half a page loaded. I've tried to work out what the PHP's doing, but it seems to be chasing install_2 & 4; neither of which are in the same directory, and neither of which are linked with full path names. So I copied them across, hoping it'd pick them up and get on with it, but no... Any ideas, anyone?
