VAT and discount

I have installed the VAT contribution TVA Intracommunautaire v2.0: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1590

 

and the discount contribution Discount Per Products Quantity: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...scount_quant_v1

 

Both contributions are working very well. But when I have an order where discount is given and vat is added, the vat is calculated from the amount without discount.

 

Examples:

 

Sub-total: $200

Discount Per Quantity: $100

VAT (25%): $50 <-- this should be $25

Total. $150 <-- this should be $125

 

Does anyone have similar problems?

Please guide me in the right direction to fix this.

Prices in my shop are shown without tax. If I show the priceses with tax, the calculation in done correctly:

 

Sub-total: $250

Discount Per Quantity: $125

VAT (25%): $50

Total. $125

 

I would prefer showing prices without VAT, as most of my customers do not pay VAT. Anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks, this was just what I needed. Now prices inc. VAT is only shown for European customers.

 

I am only collecting VAT for customers without a VAT number, by using the Intracom contib. Do you know how to show prices ex. VAT in the shopping cart for customers with a VAT number entered?
