sturmdogg
Hello, Is there a contribution that works like the HTTP_REFERER contribution, where it can store referral urls, but instead of the urls coming from a webpage, it will be coming from an email? My client wants to do an email marketing campaign, and needs to track the referring urls so he knows which agents should get a commission. As an example: Agent A sends out an email to clients. The link in the url is something like http://www.shoppingcart.com/catalog/index.php?id=agent_a . My client wants to be able to have the shopping cart record the url from the email if a sale has been completed because of Agent A's email. I hope what I said makes sense. ;)
chooch
Have you search the contributions, maybe there is something similar to your needs Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH
sturmdogg
The closest contributions I found are http_referer and the supertracker contributions. While I havent actually tried to implement these contributions, from what i read on their support threads these are limited to webpage clickthroughs. :(
