Guest Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I'm new to osCommerce and fumbled around with the installation. I finally got a successful install but now in the configuration panel, I have 8 sets of each title/item/action in My Store. In other words, I have 8 "Store Name", 8 "Store Owner", 8 "E-Mail Address", etc. How do I delete the extra sets that I don't need? Thanks for your help in advance, Jerri :: ABWS
bobg7 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 If you have yet to add any items or contributions, try dropping the entire database and putting it back in. Installed Contributions: CCGV, Close Popup, Dynamic Meta Tags, Easy Populate, Froogle Data Feeder, Google Position, Infobox Header Entire Row, Live Support for OSC, PayPal Seal with CC images, Report_m Sales, Shop by Price Revised, SQL Updater, Who's Online Enhancement, Footer, GNA EP Assistant and still going.
Guest Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Sorry for being so duuuuuuuuuh...but how do I do that? I'm using mySQL through the myPHPAdmin interface. When I open the DB admin panel, I see all of the tables. Do I delete all of the tables or the entire DB? Since I installed the database thru the osCommerce install procedure, I'm scared to do anything off the beaten path without a little hand holding.
Guest Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I checked my table list and saw "configuration". When I looked at the records, it only shows one set not 8 like in my osCommerce panel. I think the problem may be my fault...I have 3 or 4 copies of osCommerce folders because some tutorials suggested that I change the folder name - when I did, then the files didn't work. Should I remove all the osCommerce folders and files and start over?
