Possible to set begin AND end dates for product

Greetings,

 

I am listing certain items with attributes and giving them a special price; using the specials section for that; but, when the item comes off of "special" I need a different listing because the attributes are different. Currently I am preparing the 2 separate listings and setting the date in "specials" to expire when necessary and then setting the status to "inactive" for the specials and "active" for the second listing that will replace it.

 

Is there some way to set items to begin and end at certain dates? Would not want them visible until start date and not visible after end date.
