juggyd Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Hi this is similar to a previous thread. Basicly some orders don't go through on the system. I get the paypal receipt but theres nothing on the system. How do i rectify that. Also like the image attached below, where it says "item title", how do i do so i can actually get the name of the product they purchase rather than just giving me the store name. Thanks Quote
sean_nerd Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 (edited) This exact thing is happening to me on a relatively new store. We're just getting our first orders, so this is the first time we've noticed this. Testing via "COD" has always had the system record the transaction just fine - I guess we didn't test paypal well enough! Appreciate any thoughts as to why this is happening. thanks folks Edited May 8, 2006 by sean_nerd Quote
sean_nerd Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 I managed to fix "most" of this problem by adding the Paypal IPN contribution and removing the built-in paypal that comes with OSC. I still am having the problem where PayPal doesn't actually know what product is being sold and simply lists the company name instead of the product name. BUT after installing the IPN module at least OSC is recognizing that there has been a transaction! Definitely a step in the right direction. Quote

Thanks If you are using the default paypal module that comes with osc then this might happen. This happens if the customer for some reason is not able to reach the success page. Either your autoreturn is not turned or or due to some other reason. two solution: 1)Add order logging contribution. 2)uninstall this contribution and add IPN contribution by Oscommerce team.
