Disable reviews Option and other questions

Hi All

I have installed the latest version of osCommerce and have a few questions (sorry in advance)

I have done various searches and come up empty handed.

1) Disable the review option completely.

I dont want the reviews button or people to submit or read reviews. I checked the knowledge base, but the information appears to be for an older vedrsion as the Admin area does not have a configuration>services option.

2) Adding the differnet categories as buttons along the top of the page.

Is this as simple as editing the header.php file? If so, how would I like each category "Button" to the relevant category. Also is it possible to include html code in this area?

3) remove the product added info. in the products section.

I commented out the

//define('TEXT_DATE_ADDED', 'This product was added to our catalog on %s.');

(as shown) in the product_info.php file in the languages>include section, ubt I am now left with "TEXT_DATE_ADDED" at the bottom of the product.

Thanks in advance for any help

I also would like to know the answer for number 3 (removing the "product added info". Thanks! Jennifer

There are some contributions for making tabs in the header. I believe this is the amazon.com style.

I did this one a long time ago and forget exactly where. Probably in your footer. The code you commented is the define. So the footer calls for text, but has no definition to put in the page, that is why the code is now showing.

Thanks for the answers to 1 and 3 (I will look into number 2)

I also had to edit out the TEXT_DATE_ADDED in the product_info.php in the main catalog folder as well.

Product_info.php I knew that :thumbsup:

I had removing 'Requests Since' on my mind when I suggested the footer. So sorry.
