OSCCraig Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 No matter what payment selections I choose in the admin setup, when I test the cart, it won't take me to the payment selection. I keep clicking on the continue button and all it seems to do is refresh the window.

OSCCraig Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 This is a fresh install version 2.2ms2 which came with and was installed through my server control panel. I have this cart set up for two other domains, one that is an earlier version and another exactly the same. The one that is the same version I was using as a demo to test certain features to make sure it can do what I needed before setting up the one I am now having trouble with. The setting are exacly alike. I remember having this problem with the original older version a few years ago but don't remember what I did to get things working. I've only added a few products and made a backup so I can try to reinstall but would rather not incase it's anything other than a possible corrupt file. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
OSCCraig Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 I backed up the cart so that I would have the changes I made and removed the cart. Then I reinstalled the cart, same location and same cart name. I then restored the backup but the restore didn't take. Is this normal for this to happen??? Do these backup and restore functions work??? I also tried this in the past while moving a cart to another web site and had the same problem. I installed a cart to another website using the same cart name and the restore didn't take now leaving me with a large cart on a server with a domain name I want to remove. Getting back to where I am now...since I removed the cart and reinstalled it...why would the restore not work??? Thank you for your help.
OSCCraig Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 This is wacky...This cart I'm trying to setup that I removed and reinstalled...I setup with a different userID and same password. When I went into the admin section I accidentally used the old userID and got in. I closed the browser and did the same thing using the new userID and got in. How is it possible for be to get into the admin section using the same password but either the old or new userID? the admin section because of the new install should not receognize the old userID. Also, I noticed that the Payment Module sections doesn't show green and red buttons on either of the newer cart installs as do the older versions. Is this the way its suppose to be???
tyl3rb1ck Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 i had a similar problem with it refreshing the page rather than proceding to let me enter payment details, i found that adding a second payment method to the page then let it display the page and proceed correctly, so i ended up with credit card and paypal, i came to the assumtion that this is a browser side bug, in Explorer with just one payment method the page failed, but in Firefox it worked, with two payment methods the page works in both browsers, very strange. Regarding the backup and restore, again ive had similar problems and came to the conclusion that all a restore does is realy merge. leaving you to manually delete what you dont want, so now i delete all before i restore and that fixed it for me.
