lsrstore.com Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Hello everyone, I am coming to you guys with a problem that I cant seem to figure out. I set up a store for a friend, using OSC. The host is Blue Host, if that matters. The problem is this, whenever someone makes and order and pays via paypal, osc doesnt get the order and update the system. Meaning, I will get an email from paypal saying that someone paid me, but no email from OSC saying what was bought and all that. No order pending, and no stock update. It seems to work ok with paying via check (at least it did when I set up and tested the system). When someone pays with paypal and you can go back to the merchant to verifiy the order was successful you have to re-sign in and your cart contents are still the same.....odd problem, and any help would be great!!! Another problem, is EVERY page that you click on its asking "do you want to display secure and non secure items?" after you sign in. I wasnt sure if it was my internet settings, or something wrong with how my OSC is set up. This is my third store, and the only one im having problems with, so im thinking it may be a host/paypal problems but i just have no clue where to look.... Thanks, Rick

Thanks, Rick I Am not sure if this will help as i am not using paypal, but i had a similar problem at one point what i needed to do was set the confirmation page back to checkout_process.php so when the order is placed it points back to checkout_process.php which will update the catalog I hope I help
sadiejanes Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I just had a similar problem and all they have to do is go to pay-pal and go to profile and change the auto return in their pay pal account ..have them put the address from their site that goes back to the confirmation page. hope that helps!!

lsrstore.com Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 Im going to try that and ill let you guys know if that works or not. Anyone know of any reason why people have to log back in after they pay with paypal? Or is the order_process.php what confirms the order after they pay?

When I make a test order and pay using "check/money order" the order processes just fine, but also points to my specific order....If i put a common URL in paypal is that going to send the user back to their specific order? Also, what would the URl be? http://www.mystore.com/catalog/order_process.php?
lsrstore.com Posted May 8, 2006 Author Posted May 8, 2006 One more thing, im using a shared SSL through Bluehost.com Ive noticed that everytime that im going from the http to the https server its having me re -log in. So for example, I go the the home page of my online store, and log in. Then add a few things to my shopping cart, and click "check-out". This sends me to the secure server, and has me re-log in. Then after i log in, my shopping cart is empty. I click "continue" and it sends me back to the home page of my store, but im not logged in. I really hope someone can help with this problem....im losing alot of money in online sales..... Thanks Rick
