maykitty Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I installed osc on my local PC, what should I do to simulate the sending & receiving of mail through osCommerce when I register, place order. In other words, what should I do in order to have my local shop act like a living shop. Many thanks.
chooch Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 once osC is installed, whether you add your products or not, the shop is fully active because of the default products already there. you dont really need to ask nyone how to simulate an order because you do what you would do on any site.... create an account and place an order but just use the COD option as it will allow you to check if emails are being sent - thats it really. Once you are certain your store is bug free, you can go ahead and start customising your store Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH
