Guest Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I've installed the contribution that allows for the administrative back-end to be controlled via an email address and password - this works great. I've added myself as an administrator, and I've successfully logged in. My problem is now I can't access the WYSIWYG editor when I click on Define MainPage - this is also another contribution. I see a message that says "Access Denied" I'm a Top Administrator - why isn't this working? Shouldn't I have access to everything? Is there a file I have to add or something? I installed the FCK editor.
chooch Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 have you tried searching for the admin with access levels contribution? Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH
Wendy James Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Depending on the contribution you used, you may have a page there that allows you to assign different pages to the different "users". You may have to go into that page (if you have it) and specify that the top admin can use the page because it is a new contribution. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Guest Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Yeah - you have to add files to the different groups, however the file "define_mainpage.php" won't display in the list of files available to admins. This is why I'm stumped. Depending on the contribution you used, you may have a page there that allows you to assign different pages to the different "users".
