Guest Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I have a new installation. it show below error message at the top of page: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /www/p/d/pdaccessory.com/htdocs/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. I Find the configure.php files. One in htdocs/catalog/includes and one in htdocs/catalog/admin/includes, and right click on them and put a tick in the box that says read only. but still not working! Could anyone help with this problem? Thanks so much!! Rose
chooch Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 what it means is that you must go to your site via your domain control panel and set the catalog/includes/configure.php to the correct setting via CHMOD. Set the file permissions to 444 or a combination of your choice that doesn't allow the file to be written Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH
