HELP! ERROR MESSAGE with Authorize.net

TRYING TO FINISH AND TEST SITE USING AUTHORIZE.NET but....

 

We receive a consistent error message ?There has been an error processing your credit card. Please try again.? that appears every time a test or ?active? (real) transaction is processed. We have used both real credit card numbers as well as the ?test? credit card numbers supplied by Authorize.net.

 

Is this a simple fix? Any advce is greatly appreciated!!! Hopefully, others are familiar with this particular problem and understand why it might be occurring.

 

We are getting desperate, and need to fix this as soon as possible.

You do have SSL? I ask because you need SSL to be able to connect to Authorize Net.

Yes we have SSL, but are their any SSL configuration issues that could be causing this error message?
