State auto selection

I did the "State auto selection" contrib. I now have to many options under state/province. I only have United states for my country but seem to be getting way more other country's.

 

 

I was told that I could delete them in sql ? Can anyone expand on that ? What files ? Modify or delete ?

don't know much about all these state contributions but if you make sure that the $country variable is set before the state dropdown is created and always show that dropdown (no input field first and dropdown box later nonsense) then it will always show only the states for that country.

I think I am going to remove the contrib and try this before I install another contrib.
