CVV number MOD not handling errors

I installed the MOD that requires the CVV number in the cc.php module.

it looks like the verification javascript doesn't work anymore if someone doesn't enter a CVV number: the popup doesn't show up like it used to when a CC number was not entered or the exp date selected in the past.

Please try this and let me know if the same happens to you if you have this mod installed.

with the CC module (NOT the authorizenet)

enter the 4111 1111 1111 1111 credit card test number

put 123 (or 1234) as the CVV: the order goes through the next page but the confirmation page renders an error (see below)

don't enter a CVV: I get a "header already sent" error instead of the ususal red warnings and cannot go to the confirmation page.

in both cases, the message is

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr/home/web/users/a00xxxx/html/catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/payment/cc.php:26) in /usr/home/web/users/a002xxxx/html/catalog/includes/functions/general.php on line 51

I tried to dig in teh code to see where the javascript alerts are built but couldn't figure out in what file this happens. Any help appreciated.
