PayPal IPN Auto Return URL Clarification Needed

I'm incredibly confused. Perhaps it depends on the PayPal IPN contribution one is using?

 

In PayPal --> profile --> Website Payment Preferences, IPN is turned on.

 

Now, here is where I get confused. I've searched the forum here and I see different answers for this: What should be the auto return URL?

 

From the answers I've seen:

 

http://www.yourdomain.com/checkout_confirmation.php

 

or

 

http://www.yourdomain.com/checkout_process.php

 

or

 

http://www.yourdomain.com/checkout_success.php

 

The IPN script that is installed (paypal_ipn.php) shows $Id: paypal_ipn.php,v 1.1.2.11 2004/12/05 19:14:35, I'm sorry I can't tell which contribution this one is. I believe it's one that added all new files and did not change core osCommerce files at installation.

 

Anyway, can one of you wise gurus point me in the right direction? Currently it's set to point to the checkout_success.php file for the auto return URL. Hopefully this was correct. Please advise, and many thanks for your help.
