Tool to import categories and products

Hi,

 

I'm starting to evaluate this open source project and haven't been able to find a tool within the product that allows you to import a mass list of categories and products in a specific format (tab delimited, excel, another db, etc). Does a tool like this exist?

 

If it doesn't, how do most people migrate an exisiting store/web site to this product so that they don't have to create all categories and products manually?
