boonespooner Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Hi there- I have an issue with an oscommerce site that I've been setting up and changing about. I've been trying to set it up as a Movie rental site, based on subsciption through Paypal - I've been able to get a simple redirect to Paypal and back to the site working - but I am now having a problem where the customer can "order" a movie - which goes into the checkout basket, and then they checkout - which works fine - and even receive their confirmation order email - BUT that order never goes into the admin section or databse. SO, if you were to look at the order history under the admin section, it would show that there was never an order made. One of the issues that may be causing this, although I have now idea, is that I removed the payment option so that there would not be any prices showing (since it is supposed to be subscription based). At any rate - if there are any suggestions on how this might be fixed, or any ideas at all, I would be very grateful. Thanks.
♥peterpil19 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Hi, You should install the paypal ipn module contribution. That will allow you to checkout, go to paypal, then back to the store and record the order. --Peter CE PHOENIX SUPPORTER Support the Project, go PRO and get access to certified add ons Full-time I am a C-suite executive of a large retail company in Australia. The idea being that once they sign up for their monthly charges, they can "order" at will and have the movies sent to them without having to go back to paypal.... thanks
