thatsright Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 I see that someoned made an order for a product. Instead of it going to Pending it went to Preparing. I do not have any of the money from that order goto my PayPal. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
♥peterpil19 Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 The customer must have reached the paypal screen and opted out of paying. The limitation of the paypal ipn is that it registers an order as soon as the "confirm order" button is placed, but only sends out order emails if the customer actually goes through the paypal process and returns to the store. Once that happens, the order status changes to "pending". What I do and would recommend doing is to send that customer an invoice and let him/her know that if they have any questions regarding payment that you'd be happy to help or arrange alternative means. That way, if they were serious about paying, they would contact you back and pay. If they were just messing around, you could report them to their ISP. --Peter CE PHOENIX SUPPORTER Support the Project, go PRO and get access to certified add ons Full-time I am a C-suite executive of a large retail company in Australia.
