Can someone tell me what file to reupload my catalog products and categories? I backed up all my files, so I just need the name of the files and the location. THanks!

index.php

product_info.php

if you're referring to the names of the products and whatnot, that stuff is in the database.

Well, I am referring to the products (descriptions, pictures, prices, etc.) Today I went in to the admin panel and my catalog was empty. No Products, no cataegories - they were all wiped out. I am rather pissed off. Do I have to retrieve them from the database then? Do you have any ideas why that would have happened??

Thanks,

Kristi

When you view those from admin, they are loading from the database. So it appears that they were deleted from your database. If you don't have a backup, you are out of luck. Ask your host if they have a recent backup. They may be able to reload it. There should be no way for that to happen short of clicking on the delete button.

That is very weird . . . and I know I didn't do it. I have been SO CAREFUL!! I saved a database backup 2 days ago. Do you suggest I just reinstall the latest backup? I have never installed a backup - do I do anything (bacup anything) before I reinstall a backup in the Admin File?

THanks Jack!

Yes, before making any further changes, you should do a backup. Adter that, it seems your only choices are to either restore from a previous backup or re-enter them. Since the database is all that is involved, just go to admin->tools->backup and click on the backup button to create the backup. Then, if you have a previous one listed there, click on it and click on restore. As long as the file size is not too large, the database will be restored. If it is too large or if there is not one there, then you will need to use phpmyadmin in your control panel to do it.
