How do you set up password for admin login?

Hey... I am a totally newbie in this and I am really not computer savey either so I need a little help.

I already have the program installed onto my webserver and it seems okey but when I type (example) www.mywebsite/admin ( it seems that everyone could probably change my configurations... ) How do i get it to have a login and a password.
