kristal Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Hi, I was having trouble with my email, so I had my host change my username for my hosting account, now both osCommerce and phpBB that I had installed on my host aren't working! I contacted my host, and they keep telling me it's an error with the programs... anyway, here is a link to where osCommerce is installed on my site: http://www.createaprim.com/store/ It says No Database Selected??? Ahhh! I spent so much time configuring the site, I'd hate to start all over!! :( Any clue as to how I can fix this? TIA

Ahhh! I spent so much time configuring the site, I'd hate to start all over!! :( Any clue as to how I can fix this? TIA Okay... I figured out I have to change the configuration file because I had my user name changed... so now my site does show up; but I'm getting a different error! It says: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/create/public_html/store/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. I tried to change the permissions to 444 but it won't let me, it just keeps going back to 644. What's up with that!? and the weird thing is, I think the original was set to 644 also, and there was no problems before... OH someone please help! Lol
kgt Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Your host should be able to tell you how to effectively change permissions on files. Sometimes FTP programs aren't able to change permissions. You might need to use your host's File Manager in your control panel to change permissions. Contributions Discount Coupon Codes Donations

Thanks, I'm trying to get them to change it for me... in the meantime, I still can't access my administrator area... my username and password for that isn't working anymore! Is there something in the configuration file that controls the admin username? Perhaps I changed that by mistake? But if so... my new username isn't working for the admin, so I don't know what's up with that now... Ahhhhh!!
