Error after Fresh Install

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/languages/.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php') in /srv/www/htdocs/catalog/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 130

 

Can someone please help me out with this error. The error comes after a fresh installation on Suse Linux 9.0

Check that the permissions on the 'includes' folder are 755.

The include directory is chmodded 755 and 777 but none works! Any other suggestions?
