sydlexic Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Newbie, please be gentle... What is required for Weight Classes to show up under Administration/Localization? I see this in the osCommerce documention, but not in my installation. I have been searching the web, contacting my ISP, and looking through osCommerce docs for a couple of days but am unable to find what I need to know. I have been referred to http://www.oscommerce.info/docs/english/e_...ht_classes.html , but that only shows me what it would look like if I had it...

Guest Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Just something to check if you are having problems with it calculating incorrect shipping totals from the weight. Check in Admin configuration Shipping/Packaging Maximum package weight, etc. Just found that because the weight is set to lbs the maximum weight was set low, I was trying to set up everything in grams and found that shipping charges were getting larger and larger. Try setting a larger ammount, ie 1000 2000 in max. weight and see if that helps. Regs Andy Trying to build a new shop at www.thenetshop.eu

Go to admin > configuration > shipping/packaging > package tare weight The tare weight will be added to each order, to allow for the weight of the packaging. You can change it to zero if you want.
