Dear Sir/Madam,

We have an account with 2checkout.com, and our monthly transactions is over USD 2,000, at the first month of our payment, we counted each and every transaction in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet . There are over 50 transactions on that months. Each being charge of USD 0.45 per transaction. There is a diffence of about USD 2, if we counted with 5.5%, however, when we change the percentage to 5.511%, it exactly match the figure that 2checkout pay to us.

Has any one notice this??

OR it is our problems only??

I contacted 2heckout for this, they reply and say it is a rounding problems.

I though the rounding is a standard?? 0.1 to 0.4 is 0, while 0.5 to 0.9 become 1??

Has anyone notice this at all??

Please help and would like to find out why.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Liew

2Checkout should only be used when there are no other options available. They are the most expensive option around with the worse support. If you are doing $2,000/month, then you are paying way too much in fees. Checkout one of the other methods of payment and save yourself a lot of money. For example, $2,000 x 5.5% = $110/month (and this is without the fees). Paypal is around 3% so it would be half that amount. Authorixe.net would be a lower percentage still but there is a monthly fee. Still, I would guess the total would be $25 - $40 /month. So, in general, you are paying out $50/month for bad service. It is time to switch.

Determine how much they've overcharged you and demand a refund. The percentage is determined on their side, so there's nothing anyone here can do to help.

Please use the forums for support! I am happy to help you here, but I am unable to offer free technical support over instant messenger or e-mail.

They claims that is because of round up/down problems, but I kind of doubt it.

Feel like being "cheated" when they post the charge is only 5.5% but "secretly" they are charging 5.511% without letting people know. If the transactions is small amount, no one will ever notice, but when it is over USD 2,000, it does makes lots of differences.
