♥peterpil19 Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I wasn't aware an option was offered with oscommerce? In anycase, from my understanding, generally HTML is more easily read by bots than php pages as bots spend a limited time per page. --Peter CE PHOENIX SUPPORTER Support the Project, go PRO and get access to certified add ons Full-time I am a C-suite executive of a large retail company in Australia. ♥peterpil19 Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I didn't either. I thought what was being asked was the difference between .html and .php? osCommerce pages are .php with embedded html. --Peter CE PHOENIX SUPPORTER Support the Project, go PRO and get access to certified add ons Full-time I am a C-suite executive of a large retail company in Australia. gcrankshaw Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 Maybe i do not fully understand OSC yet but i am trying. Most OSC sites have php pages but some have HTML pages, why. HTML pages seem to have a far superior rating with Google. Any feedback. Glenn
Jack_mcs Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 If you see an oscommerce site with url's ending in html, it is probably due to one of the search engine friendly url's. If you add straight html files to an oscommerce shop, it can cause a problem within the shop and should be avoided.
