Link images to products? I.E on the index page?

Hi,

 

How do i link them back to the products in my catalogue whilst retaining the same customer session.

 

I.E

 

I put some GIFS/JPEGS on my front page in includes/lang/english/index.php yet want to link them to the actual product.

It would be easier to put new tables in above the new products table in the catalog/index.php and use the <a herf function for the links or use the featured products mod give it a new info style in the stylesheet to make it whatever color you want this way they can line up with you other products.
