varnco Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Every now and then I need to modify a customer's order details. I really don't want to install a contribution if I don't have to for this, as I maybe have to edit an order once or twice a month. Is there any reason I can't go directly into the database, find the customer's order, and change the item(s) regarding the order? Will it "mess up" anything else?
dudacao Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Hello varnco ! It will depend of your skills level. Editing databases needs to respect their rules, table links, used codes, etc. I really recomend that you installs a contribution to edit the databases and forget problems in future. I hope this help you Better wishes Dudacao Did You Saw The Birds Today ?
insomniac2 Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Your best bet is the Order Editor contribution. It does not alter your database in any way and is easy to install. You can add more fields to modify depending on your need and coding skills.
