Multiple product pictures?

I understand that there are mods that allow us to have multiple photos per product. But was there any reason why this wasn't built into OScommerce by default?

Just one of those things I suppose. One could also ask why ultimate seo urls and other handy contribs weren't included too. They are just tools that were subsequently developed once it became obvious that they were needed.
