Leak-Proof Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Has there been an undo sql file for this contribution. I'm not sure which one of my backups is the right one to restore since I gave up on trying to incorporate this contrib. I will make a new store later and install this one first to end the nightmare. PS: Is there a "recommended order" for contribution installs. That would be a sweeeet posting! Quote I like these mods, there fun! ...65 70 72 75 80 85 125+ contributions installed and counting... Tools I'm using: OSC2.2 milestone2, Filezilla for FTP, PHP Designer 2007PE (nice), Araxis Merge 6.5 to compare files, XP(my box), Remote Server is shared Apache 1.3 Cpanel, CURL, and PHPmyAdmin through my hosts Cpanel to mess up the database.
Guest Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Rod, I agree - I wish someone who has done a good chuck of the more well-used contributions would do a "suggested order of install". I am frequently asked is Contribution A that I just installed will have any problems with Contribution B. Files sections overlapping, etc. As for the SQL undo - .... please don't quote me on this since I am not very knowledgable with MyPHPADmin and SQL - but if you just delete the vendor_table in your database, it will get rid of that part. As for all the changes within the files you had to modify individually - ummmm other than using a backup of your whole database/store made prior to installing/modifying this contribution - you would have to go into each file individually and delete out the modification. *shrugs* Quote

I don't know what the protocals for that are. Maybe one of the "code jockeys" will read this and respond. Maybe even postings of fully modded stores as contributions? As for the database correction, Thanks. Quote I like these mods, there fun! ...65 70 72 75 80 85 125+ contributions installed and counting... dittones Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Dear Leak-proof You have time stamps and file size information on all of your files... Your program and backup files...This should help you determine what files to use...What I would do: 1. Backup up everything. 2. Use the File sizes and time stamps to determine which files to use. 3. Then do a restore. Note: When you restore the database all database tables will be replaced with your backup...So the database will be as of the backup restore. Just remember to always do a backup before you do any modification. I hope this helps dittone.com Roman Quote

Maggilove Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 What sort of problems were you having with the install, Rod? Maybe we could help you fix it, rather than remove it? Quote
