Add Category / manufacturer Filter to New Products and Specials Page

hi - i have 2 pages one for newest products and one for specials that show the products but i want to add the manufacturer and category filters to them at the top (dont know if you can have them both there at the same time)

 

Im pretty sure its a pretty simple change but i cant figure it out
