mymoney Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Hi, I ordered online and paid using Nochex but as they couldnt complete the order I cancelled. Not I cant get a refund from the "company" . Im thinking the online company are possibly scamming me, and possibly others. Is there anything that Nochex can do for me ? Should I name and shame the company ? Thanks for any advice D.

Guest Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 I think you should contact their support department instead. support dpt of whom? I would place a request through my cc company instead of wasting my time trying to contact them, as you have only so many days to do the claim. Not to mention your cc perhaps is already compromised.
trogette Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Nochex don't pass on cc details to vendors so unless you think Nochex are ripping people off that's not an issue. Really wouldn't be good for their business so I doubt it. And yes I'd talk to Nochex support and your cc co or bank.
cannuck1964 Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 If you piad by CC, then all uyou have to do is contact the CC company and cancel the payment and request a charge back.....that sucks for the vendor, but if they are not abiding by the terms of the sale, or you are not happy, then that is the most straight forward way to get your money back ;) cheers, Peter M. If they do fraud for example, they could place a fake gateway form that returns an error and they steal the cc details, you know what I mean?
Guest Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 It depends where you are from. In the UK, consumers are covered by the distance selling regulations. The DTI would be hot on your back as a retailer if you failed to comply. As a consumer, quoting DTI DSR usually results in a rapid re-imbursement.

I have just recieved an amount of money back that i was recently overcharged. Purchases, especially on credit cards in UK mean you are very protected by the law, the credit card company refunded my money and its up to them to cover their loss
