Guest Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Hi, My Paypal IPN module is not passing the shipping details the Paypal. When I am passed over to the Paypal payment page I am asked if I require shipping and to fill out the shipping address .I thought this data is passed from the cart already to paypal? - can anyone suggest how I fix this??? jmfabrications Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Im having a similar problem, I just went live with my site on Friday, a customer bought something today using paypal, but the shipping charges were not carried over to Paypal so he wasnt forced to pay for shipping. Im using the UPSXML shipping module. Let me know if you come across any fixes, ill continue to search to. Thanks, Jim Quote

If you go into 'shipping' calcuations' section in your paypal profile, there is a tick box at the botton of the page that says; Click here to allow transaction-based shipping values to override the profile shipping settings listed above (if profile settings are enabled). - this will turn off the paypal shipping option, you should still get shipping details sent to your admin/orders as these are collected on your site anyway. It basically just stops the customer from having to fill these details out twice! however as you are having problems passing the shipping charges over to paypal, I suggest you look at the 'shipping module in admin' if you haven't checked that already. Shipping should normally be added to the final total, hence it is this that passes to paypal. -sorry I can't be of more help!! J Edited April 24, 2006 by disenorojo Quote
