Ladydeb Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Hi You Guys, Apparently my site is named osCommerce on the title bar....so it saves on 'My Favourites' as osCommerce etc. Also, does not get picked up by search engines because it is a lingerie site and has no relevance to osCommerce when people are looking for lingerie... I don't think I explained that very well.....lol Does anyone see what I mean???? I need to find out how to change the title bar to my real site name...any answers really gratefully received! Thanks in advance... Debs X :D
♥Vger Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 includes/languages/english.php - look for 'osCommerce' and change to the name of your site. Vger
Ladydeb Posted April 21, 2006 Author Posted April 21, 2006 Hi There Vger, I have done as you said, but, I can see an awful lot of osCommerce's written in the English php. How do I know which one to change?? I don't want to make a mistake at this point in the game, as I'm almost ready to go with the site... Many thanks Debs X
Jack_mcs Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 She meant with the single quotes as shown: 'oscommerce' not oscommerce. There is only one of those. Ladydeb Posted April 22, 2006 Author Posted April 22, 2006 HI There Vger and Jack, THANKYOU....that has done the trick. I am no longer osCommerce Lingerie.....lol Doesn't have a ring to it does it... Many thanks.. Debs X
Helomech Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 What are the odds. I've been wondering this myself for a while now. If I went to the site online, I could view the source and see the oscommerce. However, if I were to save it, it was index.html.... DOH. Glad I did a search of the forums. You guys rock!
