Clean install, then added MVS V1.0, now nothing!

I'm still trying out OsC to see if it meets my needs.

 

Please don't assume I know what I'm doing, so please keep any replies basic.

 

My store was working okay with no errors, I then added MVS V1.0 then discovered I was unable to access my store or admin panel as I get the following error on both pages "The requested URL > http://www.mystore.net/store/admin/ < was not found on this server."

 

Spent ages working through all the modified files, still got the above error.

 

Decided to wipe all the folders and files off my server, then carried out a fresh instal of OsC, checked it was okay. Then changed lots of folders to enable read/write (think this is why I had to modify so many files on the first attempt) then added the MVS again. Checked all the folders and files had loaded okay, unlike the first attempt! However I'm still unable to view either the catalogue or the admin pages.

 

Although my browser says the files are not there, I've checked and thery are there. So what error have I made when adding the MVS? Hopefully something silly and simple.

Bit of an improovement this morning, tried to open the admin page angot this

1146 - Table 'myaccountname_osc1.vendor_configuration' doesn't exist

 

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from vendor_configuration

I can now access my admin page following some help on using phpMyAdmin to up date the database using the mvs.sql file supplied with the MVS zip file.

 

Still not able to veiw the catalogue page :(
