steliart Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 I am new in this so sorry for the ignorance. I tryed to protect my "admin" and so i made the following: htaccess in a txt file I typed something like this AuthUserFile /home15b/sub001/sc17388-CZLB/catalog/.htpasswd AuthGroupFile /dev/null AuthName admin AuthType Basic Require valid-user htpasswrd in a txt file I typed something like this, after generate myname:$1$jU1Ooolq$cBDFZtuJFe9LENffDp/oW1 When I tried to access my admin the password pop-up window is asking me for the username and paswword but it does not take me there, if something is incorrect. Please can you tell me where I'm I wrong? Thanks Love & Light
Wendy James Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Your webhost should have a "password protect directories" area in their control panel. May be easier than what you are trying. htaccess can be a pain. If not, there are many contributions to protect the admin area. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

Wendy James Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 All of them work. Just have to decide which one you want. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
