kthnx Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Heya, I'm after a modification for osCommerce, I had a look through the contributions system but I couldn't seem to see it, and since there's so many I thought I might have missed it so I'd ask here. I want to add a field for each item that functions as a instructions comment - ie, someone buys a birthday cake and they can add a comment saying "Please have this cake say happy birthday Ben on top of it". Is this possible? I really don't want to try and write it myself as my understanding of osCommerce is pathetic to say the least. Thanks for any suggestions! Please feel free to ask questions if I haven't been clear in the above. -S Quote
Wendy James Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 osCommerce already has a comment field while checking out. Although this is not on each individual product page it could be used for what you want. There is a contribution that allows customers to add comments to an order even after it is placed. May be good to add that. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2633 Quote Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
erima Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Yes, This is an easy modifiaction to do. The mod is called imprint text option http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...uct+text+option You can see it in action at http://www.classywigs.com/store They use it for color option and comments. It captures the text from the client for each order. Great for mugs, cakes, etc. Hope it helps, Eric Rima [email protected] www.creative-domains.net Heya,I'm after a modification for osCommerce, I had a look through the contributions system but I couldn't seem to see it, and since there's so many I thought I might have missed it so I'd ask here.
