Funky Donkey Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I am having problems protecting access to my admin folder. the server control panel is no use as it only allows me to manage directory protection via frontpage extension manager. I have also tried .htaccess files with no luck. So the only way I can seem to create a proteted directory is in frontpage extension manager by creating a subweb. I can not create 1 called admin however as that is the subweb for the server admin control. So my plan is to create a proteted subweb with a folder name such as shopadmin and transfere the files from my oscommerce admin folder into it. I then need to change some file paths in order for it to work, but which files do I need to change? Also can anyone see any other problems that I may encounter. Thanks In Advance :)
skylla Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 See this post if you want to try again to get it to work by .htaccess, far less hassle than what you propose - you're on an apache server right? http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?s=&...ndpost&p=840976 I can't help you with the frontpage question i'm afraid
