FATAL ERROR: register_globals ..even after patch

OK . when i try to open the install.php i get an error:

 

FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!

 

I've done some research and saw there was a patch with some files that would allow you to run the install, even with register_global = off

 

...I am hosting my own site

 

register_global = on

 

but i get FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it! ?

 

I am running iis6.0, php 4.3 .. running my own mysql server ... any one have an idea?

Hi Gibson. I just folowed the link but iet went straight through to your install page like its supposed to doe??

 

But if you still have problems... :-)

 

There are TWO.. yes TWO lines that has got the register_global=Off code in it

the one is almost at the top of the php.ini file and the othe one is hidden at the Data Handling section. this should sort it. if not.. I'll be sround again later tomorrow.

Yea...i got the install working....some what...i was looking in the wrong php.ini file..

 

I got a new post now :)
