Renee1 Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I am trying to email a newsletter to the customers who subscribed through my web site. The newsletter manager doesn't allow me to get very creative, so I want to send a newsletter created in microsoft publisher through my outlook program. I need to import the subscribers into my outlook program. I can't figure out how to do this and can't even copy them to add manually. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
OceanRanch Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Use your phpmyadmin to export portions of the customer table to a file compatible with Outlook. There are a few contributions that do that for as well. http://www.oscommerce.com/community?contri...il&category=all HTH Tom
jon_l Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 If you've got a lot of subscribed customers you want to make sure you'll be able to send the email through your isp. Some of them won't allow you to send emails to a lot of people at the same time. I've had this problem and sending the newsletter through osC is my only option. I thought about sending out a html newsletter, but I talked to some of my customers about it and they all said no - they preferred receiving a plain text email. Jon.

I have created one using the osc newletter tool and saved it now it will not let me edit it. Is there a way to do this?
Guest Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 just toggle the lock button and then click edit to edit it.
