Not able to remove installed payment module

I have 3 modules set up - CC sort order #1, COD sort order #0, Paypal sort order #0

 

When selecting the CC module the "Install" button shows up - yet when clicking on the module itself I can access the area where it shows "Enable Credit Card Module (which is set to YES), Split Credit Card E-Mail Address, etc). Yet I can't access the CC formatting area, and when trying to process an order online using the CC option, no other CC number will work other than the default value of 41111111111111111.

 

What would I need to do to repair this? A few days ago I was able to see the "Uninstall" button and I did use it.

Simplified:

 

1) The CC module was once installed correctly or at least appeared to be installed correctly

2) There is currently a ?sort order? number beside the CC module which tells me that it's still installed. It also appears as one of the options available on my order form

3) Within OScomm admin, the CC module still displays the "Install" button, yet I can still access the "Split Credit Card E-Mail Address" etc..

4) If I click on the Install button, nothing seems to happens

5) When trying to use the CC option from my order form, no other credit card number will work other that 4111111111111111 - anything else will generate "Credit Card Error".

 

How can I correct this glitch? Would I need to replace my cc.php file for it may be corrupted? If so, how do I get a fresh new cc.php file that works?
